Glam For Life Organization

Glam for Life,Inc. Is a San Diego community based non-for-profit organization founded in 2007 by Ms.Voneva Denham a third generation suicide survivor.Ms.Denhams grandmother died by suicide prior to her birth and her mother died by suicide May 27,2003.Glam for Life was established out of her sorrow and loss attributed to this rising trend.As a professional in the beauty industry and understanding the influence that the beauty,fashion,and entertainment industry has on communities of color,Ms.Denham realized the importance of incorporating these industries into some of the methods used to address suicide and raise awareness,thus,creating the name Glam for Life. The Founder Ms.Voneva Denham and each member of the Glam for Life, Inc. Board of Directors, have extensive experience,close connection,and sensitivity to the immediate special needs of individuals affected by suicide.The aspiration of the founder and the members of the board of directors is to combat this silent killer through awareness and prevention and use alternativemethods to address suicide in our communities while achieving physical,mental, and spiritual wellness.
