About Me

I grew up with my ear literally pressed to the speaker of the console stereo in my parents' living room listening to Elvis Presley. My heroes have always been musicians. First Elvis then Aerosmith and Kiss then Tom Petty, Johnny Cash and Steve Earle and recently, someone who rarely told the truth about anything, turned me on to Bob Dylan and I will be forever grateful. ..

Band Members: It's a new year and we just got a new president, and not a day too soon... As for me, next month I'm going to be recording a few new demos as a part of my ongoing effort to find some handsome, ladykilling, rockstar type from Nashville to record one of my songs and turn it into a mega-hit with crossover potential so I can make my Mama proud once and for all...Otherwise...I will still be playing solo acoustic here and there as well as doing some songwriter rounds. My new cd, Ohio, was recorded last year with some truly great musicians such as Ed Shockley, of Vinyl Shockley. Keith Mack of Scandel. Johnny Neel formerly of the Allman Brothers and currently with Criminal Element, Billy West, one of the most fluid drinking players you'll ever hear, Larry Lynch (Spyder Webb) a ass walluping upright bass player, Bill Larson, Joey Fulkerson, Dave Giegerich, Don Sharp, Doug James, who it turns out plays accordian too, Linda Mitchell and the screaming banshee of melodic super prowess herself. The cd can bought on itunes or from cdbaby, and othersMaking the cd with Kevin Short, the producer. could not have been more fun. Kevin is funny, talented and easy to work with. Kevin has blue eyes I think. There is not one song in this collection that Kevin didn't in some way make better. He is a gem of a dude and has made this experience a blast. I hope to do another one with him someday. My Musical journey as a player and a songwriter started late. (I wrote my first song at 38, a little ditty called Lonely Fucking Man), but it has been more fun than I ever could have imagined. I feel truly blessed and grateful.
Influences: Elvis (the real one), Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Steven Tyler, Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, Sherly Crow, Ed Shockley, Kevin Short and Keith Mack
