Music:
please no country or heavy metal stations! I love blues, world beat, break beat,hip hop, classics... I just love it all really, anything to sing to, or that makes me move.OR that BUMPS in my car...yeah. I'm that annoying jerk sittin at the light next to you with my noise pollution! I'm a bass junkie. My radio schedule- in the AM, NPR-91.7? late afternoon, 94.1,feelin sappy- 98.5, but now usually 94.9-the Sound...it rocks, people!. evening- either NPR or Sound, or if I'm gettin ready to go out 101.1 Wiz, 107.1 it's not a die hard schedule, but it's usually the thing. wow, that's a lot of unintersting rambling!!!!
Movies:
LOVE to go see movies, but rarely do, anything at Esquire, documentary, mockumentary, of course comedies, horrors, some action flicks, and definitely stupid cheesy romantics...although those usually are rentals. Favorites- Best In Show, Anchorman, Drumline,DPS, Hoosiers, League of Their Own. Tomatoes- all the usuals- ANYTHING sports related (but i'm sooo far from being a jock!!!) Crash was amazing, I hated experiencing that film. BUT it is amazing, truly touching, troubling, honest. So, even though I prefer to escape to funny places, I do crave content at times too. Oh - and Sound of Music of course!
Television:
Considering I have 6 channels that blip, have ghosts, or go out altogether- should speak to how much I am accustomed to watching the tube BUT when I do watch... Anything and everything news related, yes, if there's cable, I watch C-Span too, 24 is great, Law and Order ( but not CI- can't stand that dude I mean, c'mon- how the hell does he know what is in paint in the 15th century and what the cosign of bla bla bla) Conan, Jon Stewart, Colbert, I've seen some shows that I'm sure I'd like, who has time for it!
Books:
My attention span is usually too short for reading a book cover to cover these days... do My Space profiles count? Political wit, biographies, poetry, essays. I'm not a literary mind so much...I don't have conversations in the round delighting in and discussing the art of crafting the story, (although I can definitely appreciate it) I am just the one that gets caught up in it.
