About Me

Hailing from Fort Collins, CO, the Lost Decade have made their mark as Northern Colorado’s premiere progressive rock band. Performing in front of large crowds at each of Fort Collins largest venues, their fan base continues to grow as more people are exposed to the distinctive sound that can only belong to the Lost Decade. The band consists of Zach Fox on drums, Alex McBride on guitar/vocals, and Adam McBride on bass.Alex and Zach met and played in High School before moving to Fort Collins for college and adding Adam on bass. Three years later, their critically acclaimed album “Western Anxiety” serves as a snapshot of three years of growth and experimentation. With a progressive sound reminiscent of Tool, the Mars Volta, and Radiohead, the Lost Decade have come into their own with the 2008 release of their album, Western Anxiety, which features the single “The Shoes” and the critically acclaimed title track, “4th Dimension”.

“Songs start soft and then after near vertical flight from introspective to thundering, exploding at the apogee before descending back to mellow, with a smooth fade out…”
“When his voice is soft, it’s almost gossamer, fragile through your speakers, and when the band turns the corner to punishing, his screams grow guttural and the drums move from placid beat keeping to a double kick attack.”
“an interesting roller coaster ride of a hard rock album”
“You only get one promising debut record – after that, you’re still promising and then you’re just some band.”

Zach Fox - I was born in a small village in the northernmost tip of Ireland and was raised by Roman Catholic Farmers who made little money. I killed them, sold their souls to the devil and their bodies to the government. With all of the devils gold, I moved to america and bought a drumset.

Rob Alexander - I used to sleep behind a bar in St. Louis. A man said something cross to me, and I cut out his toungue. I lost my job. As I walked home, the prophecy of the band Foreigner came true to me. There! The guitar in the second hand store. Didn't know how to play, but I knew for sure......

Dillon Fox - I'm new and the shit and tell everyone else what to do.

Sounds Like: Our music is our own. We only want to realize the art of music.
