^^ ALL EXCLUSIVE BEATS FROM J-TIN ^^
Since 2002, J-Tin has set out to change the perspective of rap, through thought provoking lyrics and versatile beats. Hailed "the biggest Hoss since Eric Cartwright himself", J-Tin strives everyday to put all of his effort into making good music.
In 2003, J-Tin released 'The Pentagon', the debut mixtape featuring friends Katastrophy, Ambush, Cannon, and Jae Young; and a barrage of self-produced beats. The mixtape was copied and distributed solely by the artists, and sold out in their high school within 2 days.
Then in 2004, J-Tin, along with Katastrophy and Ambush , established 'Realist Productions' , an Independent record label devoted to creative lyrics, hard-hitting beats, and truth.
In 2007, J-Tin became an artist/producer for Casdaluchi Records, after co-producing rapper/CEO Yung Zm 's upcoming debut album (slated for an early 2010 release).
J-Tin released his debut self-produced album Gold, Oil & Drugs on April 21, 2009. It is currently available for free download online.
Most recently J-Tin has appeared on and produced beats for Grind Time's All Star Weekend Mixtape Vol. 1 , hosted by Yung Zm, which showcases the popular battle league's most noteworthy emcees.
Currently J-Tin is teaming up with fellow label-mate Katastrophy for a mixtape and album. He is also in the process of producing a mixtape featuring himself, A-Riginal, Katastrophy and Yung ZM, titled BOSSANOVA.
Making a living off of music has been a goal of his after the passing of his cousin Harry. Says Jon, "When I lost my cousin, I quickly realized how short your life can be. I knew that I needed to pursue a life that would support the thing I'm most passionate about."
Over the past 6 years, J-Tin has worked to establish an impressive collection of tracks, and an even larger archive of beats, continuing on his quest to the top.
