John Perry is one of the countries finest and most experienced jazz drummers. Working mainly in Europe during much of the 90’s, John moved to Finland where he lectured at the Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory. Since his return to the UK, John Perry has gained a formidable reputation on the British jazz scene where he’s performed and recorded with musicians such as Kenny Wheeler, Anita Wardel, Bobby Wellins, Andy Shepherd, Pete King, Zoltan Dekany, Dave Newton, Joel Purnell, Julian Joseph, Jim Mullen, Alan Barnes, Jamil Sheriff, Dave O’Higgins, Steve Waterman, Dick Pearce, Rick Zunigar, Scott Hamilton, Mark Nightingale, Andy Panaiy, Simon Wolf, Clare Teal, Esther Miller, Elaine Delmar, Steve Waterman, Mike Walker and Dave Green to just name a few..! John has become a regular sight at many of the UK’s premier jazz festivals and venues.
