As you may have gathered, my name is Melissa :) I'm 19 years old, and I live in the South, currently studying at Southampton University but living in Bournemouth.
I've really only got this profile because for my 16th Birthday, friends of the family Tony and Jane Sweeney bought me a guitar. After a year of occasional practicing, I began to write, my second song being the one that you hear on this page (I hated the first one!)
I never really thought that the songs I have written were worthy of a page on myspace, but a few friends encouraged me, so I gave it a go, and i'm glad I did.
What do I write about? Hmm... People that I love mostly, or people that I did love, or people that in my blonde moments i thought I may have loved but it turns out I didn't actually love them (don't ask), and some funny little childish thoughts that come into my head, i suppose. Yeah, stuff like that. I don't write as many as I would like, I get easily frustrated, but i'm hoping it's because i'm pretty busy at Uni at the moment. I'm looking forward to the summer when I can spend some long lazy days in my back garden, strumming away :)
There are a few more to be recorded yet, so as soon as i've got the opportunity, i'll load them up :)
