Sula Lopes Release
Miami is without a doubt one of the best places on earth to enjoy house music. It is also the house of some of the best DJ’s in the world. Born in Brazil, Sula Lopes started his career as a DJ spinning at private parties in South Florida. In 2004 arose the opportunity to spin in nightclubs such as Club 99 and Nocturnal.
Eventually becoming the resident DJ of Club Boca in Boca Raton and from that point on Sula Lopes started to receive invitations to spin for bigger crowds, famous events, and popular nightclubs all over South Florida such as Mokai, Opium, Gryphon, Spirits, Voodoo Lounge, Ink, Eden, Exit 66, Rix lounge, Deck 23, Cameo, Discoteka, Area 51, MIA Club, Park West, Dream, Passion, Living Room, Crobar, Fashion Show Gaia, Fontaine Bleau, Live Miami beach Concert (Blues Brothers), Brazilian Music festival Hard Rock, Hard Rock folia, WMC We Love Brazil, WMC Frequency and many others.
Searching influence with other DJ’s such as Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Steve Angelo, Victor Calderone and Danny Tenaglia, Sula Lopes owns a unique talent of being able to spin explosive house music in a great and enjoyable way, also a person with great charisma and a different style from the other DJ’s. As the time went by, Sula Lopes earned more space in the house music scene. His knowledge has grown and he started spinning at events in other states as well. New York and New Jersey also became the house of dominance for Sula Lopes spinning at Pacha, Tahoma, Muralha, Bye Bye Verao Electronic Music and many others.
In 2010 another great opportunity knocked on Sula’s door. The debut EP on Urbanized Recordings, also available on Beatport, Junodownloads, and many other stores.
Sula Lopes started a brand new project alongside Sybel Calmon, also Brazilian, DJ and music producer for more than 12 years. Sybel was living on Milan, Italy where was working on music and DJ all over Europe. In Miami Sula and Sybel started THE MINIMONSTARZ, special djset including own tracks and performance on decks and stage.
