Founded in November 2006 by Thord "Bongo Asher" Lundmark. The band was created from the band One Voice & The Players of Instruments but only 2 members are from that band...
I and Ladji and Evelina Gad was left from the original setting of One Voice & The Players of Instruments and with time Mr. Judah joined in, Mickey X & Dale Absent & The latest addition Congo Napthali brethren from the band Congi Tree a band I dwell in also...
11 Mars 2007 I daughter with Evelina Gad was born Tova tribe of Benjamin and after showing her talent and natural playing with all, dancing, drums, guitarr she was a member to most for inspiration now...But as I say about members in Zion I Roots, member in or people gonna join Personality before Talent...And more members will probably join people trodding by putting in some joyful sound...
Give Thanks To Old members like Jah Bird, Ras Cool'an, Maichel Dan, Frankie Judah, Uredi Asher even though some of you walked astrain I n'I prayers are with u...With the help of Jah I n'I been blessed with good musician and friends around Zion I Roots both within the band and outside.
Give Thanks to Treklang, Million Stylez, Kyaal, Truzd, Jah Zebi, Danjah Judah, Governor Andy, Daniel Asher & Jah Pete, Uwe Banton, Matthias "Fiahs" The Dread, Roller B and many more for their help in singing for some tracks and with inspiration and being Good People & Friends...
And I Bongo Asher a speciall thank to the Binghi Ireator Rasta Todd for providing I with a very speciall Kette drum. Jah Bless U...Always from the beginning I was inspired by Almighty God of Israel and Count Ossie & The Mystic Revelation of Rastafari and Ras Michael & The Sons of Negus who both mixed Nyahbinghi with Roots Reggae in their own style.

But the biggest inspiration today is the teaching of Gadman who spoke the truth about Christ & Selassie I and organized & centralized Israel and told us to study di Bible a chapter a day...

Give Thanks To Jah for sending Him To Us in this last days.Anywat things started to move in 2007 when I n'I didnt have any drums or bass, Truzd and Kyaal gave us the first basic riddim give thanks for that I will never forget it, drum and bass but after Dale Absent the drummer from the Swedish band Treklang joined we where ready to chant Babylon down and he put his touch on Zion I Roots sound by putting in the bass and drum cause we lost our drummer and bass players and he put his own style in Zion I Roots, but we dont have one style, dubs, Nyahbinghi, Roots reggae, Ska, Acustic...
And people like Million Stylez, Daniel Asher, Uwe Banton and many more agreed to voice on some riddims...Zion I Roots is a Dub Band but with different singers for different riddims sometimes 2 sing on the same...Wanted to do something different.I Thord "Bongo" Asher wanna specially thank Daniel Asher (former know as the good Bredda D) for his inspiration he was a instrument collector like I.
And he did his music in the beginning at home when he was called Bredda D so I thought can he can I in a kinda way. He pushed I forward...And it was a honor to write to song Twelve Tribes of Israel with him with the new name Daniel Asher & Jah Covenant Band.And of course the northern part of Sweden's oldest reggae band Treklang former known as Ska Police.
