David C Navarro

About Me

David C Navarro started singing at age 6 as a member of a local church choir in the city of Oxnard, California. He later became a lead singer in a local top 40 band as he entered 7th grade.
After completing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara, David continued his musical growth by enrolling in several music and voice classes at Ventura City College. This yearning eventually led him to discover chorale singing with the Moorpark Masterworks Chorale where he had an opportunity to perform in several European countries under the direction of James Stemen.
David relocated to the bay area in the early 1990's after completing a Master of Business Administration from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Rochester, New York. While in the bay area, David had the opportunity to work with Narada Michael Walden on Vocal Performance in the Studio at the Vocal Tech Workshop, an event sponsored by the Recording Academy San Francisco Chapter.
David Navarro has studied Seth Rigg's Speech Level Singing technique with David Stroud and continues to study with Jane Sharp (Full Body Singing) and jazz artist Kitty Margolis.
David has performed in local bay area venues such as Pier 23, Club Jazz Nouveau, Sheba’s Lounge, Downtown Marriott Hotel, The Sonoma Inn, LJ’s Martini Club, and The Octavia Lounge.
David was interviewed on KCSM in San Mateo, CA as the winner of a singing competition held in San Francisco, CA. Currently, David is working on the release of his new CD that will include some of the finest bay area musicians.Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own!
