Lyrical Legacy (513-551-9858... get at me.)

First and foremost let me introduce myself... I'm Lyrical Legacy. Since I know your ether wondering or are going to ask let me tell you what my name means. The Lyrical is self- explanatory and the Legacy goes by the second definition in the dictionary (depending on which one I'm guessing). The second definition is a gift from the past. I am what my ancestors left behind and I was sent here by them to forge the future into my own image. I'm here to bring back the legacy of hip hop not just as a culture but as an art form. My songs are not only an expression of self but an expression of the world we live in. My name actually came about from a cartoon (the legacy part) silly huh, but it became something deeper and meaningful. My real name is Virgil Fuller I was born June 19th 1986. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio (except for a couple years I lived in Niagara Falls). I came up like most people in my generation. No father and most of the time no mother. I was an only child, but that only made things harder because I had nobody. I raised myself for the most part and like Lupe's song hip hop saved my life. I was raised off NWA, Ice Cube, Tupac, Cypress Hill, Bone, Thugs, and Harmony, Rakim, Wu-Tang Clan, and etc. so it was only fitting that I became a MC myself as well. I originally just wanted to do this to make money, but now I just do it because I love it. It’s nothing like it to me. It’s a gift from God to be able to paint pictures with words. I started to take music seriously around age 16. I started a group called D.G. (Doe Gettas), but it went nowhere. It wasn't until I hooked up with S.P.T. (Snake Pit Thugs which is now S.P.T.U.: Snake Pit Thug Unity) that I got my first chance to shine. Still a member, but out on my own now its time to really flex my muscles and introduce Lyrical Legacy to the world. Lyrical Legacy is nothing more then a newborn. He was created only a few years ago and has grown more in that time than other MC's (if you can call them that) ever will. This is only the beginning though and I plan to continue to challenge the way we view music and raise the bar for all artists. Time for a change and that change is me.
