STUPID DRAMA'S brand of "ego-driven, in your face acoustic rock" is going to leave an impression on you. You're not very likely to forget their music or their show and as seasoned veterans of the Texas music circuit, NSD is recording and performing some of the world's best progressive acoustic rock music.
NATHAN performs solo, duo, or in a full band format. Either show keeps audiences "begging for more" and "the performance must be seen to be believed," says one Texas music critic. And if it's any indication of how much people love NATHAN'S distinctive sound- they have voted NATHAN the Best Acoustic Guitarist in the Austin Chronicle's reader's poll awards.
With the addition of Grammy award winning bassist/vocalist MARCO ANTONIO VALDEZ the live shows have elevated. Says TONY, "Playing in NSD has inspired a creative spark that has expanded my playing skill. People will remember who we are, long after we are gone."
Guitarist/vocalist JEFF BANKS says "One day I was listening to the debut recordings and I heard electric guitar on the music. It's fun to play these songs.." "There's that growl I've been fighting my producers for finally," says NATHAN. "Plus, I'm a really big JEFF BANKS' fan."
While seeking inspiration for these recordings, percussionist/vocalist TREVOR SCOTT DETLING looks no further than legendary rock drummer John Bonham who says, "Walk softly but carry a heavy stick" and says Trevor,"I brought my big sticks!"
The local media have called NSD's current studio efforts the most "radio-friendly" to date. "The fun part is taking the vocals that are on the CD and doing them live," says NATHAN. "It's not just studio fluff when you hear our discs. These cats are amazing!"
