The Joint Venture

About Me

Mike J and j.scrawls first met at an open-mic in 2005. Mike J was the regular deejay there, and j.scrawls wandered in one week and managed to win the poetry slam. After the show, they exchanged introductions and talked music and philosophy and other crazy shit like that and were soon reveling at the parallels between each other's self-inflicted confusion, which they both already knew was the result of constant and ruthless over-analysis. Since then, they have been working together to harness one another's madness in an attempt to accurately capture and manifest it through sound that is usually somewhat structured, but always painstakingly executed.
