I hate MyCrapSpace.

About Me

Check it out! APOV, Baby! Oh Yeah!

Music, Music Music. I love it. Love to listen, love to play, love to create it. Currently working on a record label. More to come! I really can't stand these online social networks. First it was friendster, now myspace. (FU Rupert Murdoch!) And there are tons of other ones. It took me forever to even consider it. Now i've decided to fall prey to this one just 'cause there are quite a few interesting people out there that make it somewhat worth my while to log on to this thing and 'get in touch'. I am the antithesis of the teenage-myspace-junkie. Although, I am on this damn thing. Damn you Myspace! Damnnnnnnn youuuuuuuuu!

My Interests

everything to do about music, except the money part. cooking, gardening, photography, meeting new people, movies, high-tech equipment, basketball, chess, futbol, reading, foriegn languages, and especially, travelling.

I'd like to meet:

other people who inspire me. artists of all types. people with drive, & those who can make me smile. =)

Music:

wayyyyyyyyyy to much to list here. but a very over-generalized idea of what my ears like to consume:Jazz, electronic, hip-hop.I'm always listening for that fresh beat, you know, the one that sends a shiver down your spine, and makes your body convulse. Something new, that you've never heard before, and you know it's good.In general, good music. Now some might say that music is a choice of opinion. I strongly disagree. There is good music, and there is bad music. Period. Originality is where it's at. Playing for yourself and not the masses. Music used to be about that. A lot of it still is. But back then, people would play, and the masses would pick it up if it was good. Nowadays, most music is formulated to appease the masses, (and their wallets) who are thoughtless and pay no attention to good music anymore. I'm here to try to change that.

Movies:

The same as music. key word = originality. Not hollywood garbage.

Television:

rots your brain. go read a book. and if you have a show you REALLY like. download it. c'mon, we're in the digital age. who needs commercials?

Books:

I could write a book on all the books i like. Some writers, just off the top of my head : Lao Tsu, D.T. Suzuki, Vonnegut, Twain, Salinger, Upski, Lasn, Hemingway, Chomsky, Moore, Huxley, Kalidas, Tulsidas, Murakami, Ryunosuke, Shikibu, and on and on and on......

Heroes:

not necessarily 'heroes' but those who have influenced and inspired me : my dad. bruce lee (off screen). Jiddu Krishnamurti, Sakamoto Ryoma, Einstein, Fela Kuti, Nelson Mandela, Thelonius Monk, and the list goes on.................
