My Tattoo Documentary

About Me

My name is Jarred. I'm a independent documentary film maker. Right now I'm working on a project about tattoo artists. Why tattoo artists as the subject of a documentary? They have better stories! I want to get to know the artist. I want to know what drives the passionate artist. If a person has another hobby on the side that would be interesting (band, extreme sports, overcoming difficulties), I wanna hear it as well.I wanna hear from the old guard of tattooing to the freshest faces on the scene.I'm going to be in California and Hawaii for most of April meeting artists, doing interviews and whatever else it takes. The folowing months will take me across the country. As stated above, I making a independent documentary. I'm doing this for the love of the art. It doesn't pay very well, but it has taken me on journies that money can't buy. But with that, I need some help on the way. So if your a tattoo artist in the Americas I will be in your area soon at some point.... and you could help me out.It could be anything form donated or discounted time in the chair or a compelling story that could be of interest. Maybe you know a artist that might be able to open up some new doors. With this project, I'm really trying to keep a open slate. Tattoo artist! Your input is appreciated.
