Steeltown Hot Country Rock describes this band entirely with it's roots in the Steel City and a passion for the Rockin' sound of Country. The band is comprised of six people that are experienced, professional musicians who like to have a good time while sharing their unique style of country music with their audience.
Matt Kessler, lead vocalist, competed in the Nashville Star TV Show and came in 10th out of 30,000 contestants. Matt fronts a band with "500 horsepower under the hood." - Steeltown Hot Country Rock.
Tim Brannon on Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar and Harmonica joins Matt with tight harmonies singing their original songs such as; I'll Be Home Soon, Rusty Water, Voodoo Queen and Gabrianne. Steeltown loves country music including touching ballads that tell a story as well as new high-energy country rock. You can view a music video for their song I'll Be Home Soon that has been viewed by almost 60,000 people on YouTube.com. "I'll Be Home Soon" is a song about losing loved ones in the war and has tugged on the heartstrings of many families. This song and music video were produced by Matt Kessler and Tim Brannon along with the help of Eric Penstadler of Video Horizons, LLC.
Coldfront Entertainment has selected their song "Gabrianne - An Outlaws Letters
Home" to create another new music video! Steeltown is currently searching for their video star, Gabrianne, by running photo submissions on their myspace website. All the information can be found in the blog section of their www.MySpace.com/SteeltownCountry site.
John McBride is their skilled Lead Guitarist from the North Hills of Pittsburgh. John's intricate finger work on lead guitar shows skills and melodic slide sounds that can only come from a seasoned professional.
Mike Madden rocks out a steady beat on Drums. Mike is a veteran player that has performed with many successful bands over the years, some of which has had radio airplay.
Gary Latkowski on bass guitar has roots playing with blues, rock, and classic rock bands in the past. Country Rock is now his newfound passion.
Harry Levicky & Bob Horwatt regularly alternate ..boards both of whom add some very special touches to the band's performances including great harmony vocals.Steeltown Hot Country Rock is one of newest and best bands to hit the country music scene in Pittsburgh and is an extremely high-energy band, which loves to have fun and get the crowd going!

Cathy Stewart is a 1986 graduate of Duquesne University's School of Music, a trumpet major with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. Finding teaching jobs was difficult, so she pursued her other love and has had her own pet grooming business and raises champion beagles. Music finally had time to come back and make a new impact on her life, with support from her biggest fans, daughter Brianne and her husband, Brian. Cathy performs original music and some covers. Cathy performs regularly at the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern's songwriter's open mic nights every Tuesday, and has performed with various bands and artists throughout Western Pennsylvania.
