Hello. I'm Thomas Matthew DeLonge. I'm in a band called blink-182. I hope you like my page. It gives me an erection.Thomas Matthew DeLonge was born in Poway, California on December 13, 1975. While attending Poway High School, he was given a guitar at the age of 15 where he proceeded to teach himself how to play basic chords. Tom claims his biggest influences at that time were Fugazi, NOFX, Descendents, Screeching Weasel, Jimmy Eat World and the Queers.During his tenure at Poway, he met Mark Hoppus and formed the band blink-182 in 1992 with friend Scott Raynor. DeLonge played guitar and shared lead vocals with Hoppus who also played bass with Scott on drums. While the band practiced in Tomo's garage at night, DeLonge kept random day jobs like delivering cement and being a waiter at Gary's Chicken and Ribs. Raynor was replaced as drummer in 1998 by Travis Barker of the Aquabats right before the release of blink-182's Enema of the State record, which launched them into mainstream success with its catchy, pop-punk sound.In 2001 DeLonge started Really Likeable People (RLP) with two other partners. RLP was intended to be a collection of companies whose purpose was to support up and coming artists. These companies included Loserkids.com, Atticus Clothing and Macbeth Footwear. By 2005 Tom had sold over 20 million combined albums with blink-182 and spent some time in Box Car Racer, a more serious side project he formed with Travis Barker and David Kennedy, a high school friend. During the release of blink-182's Greatest Hits album, Blink announced they were going on an "indefinite hiatus" due to artistic differences and DeLonge's wishes to spend less time on the road and more time with his family.In November 2005, DeLonge started Angels and Airwaves, a new group where he was committed to creating positive music that he hoped would inspire kids to make a difference. AVA's first album, We Don't Need to Whisper, reached #4 on the Billboard 200 and went gold.Tom currently resides in the Ranch Santa Fe community in San Diego, California where he lives with his wife and two kids.
