NYU Students for Education on Animal Liberation

About Me

We are SEAL, Students for the Education on Animal Liberation, THE Animal Rights Group at New York University, around since 1997.
We promote veg*anism and animal rights and seek to educate the campus on the tens of BILLIONS of animals that are skinned, dismembered, scalded, beaten and electrocuted-often while fully conscious-in order to meet the demands of our taste, fashion, and entertainment wishes.
Our campaigns include dining hall veganizing - all you can eat vegan nights, more vegan options (clearly labeled) in the dining halls, vegan/animal rights education for all dining hall staff.
We also focus on outreach - tabling, speaking events, movie screenings, volunteer outings, and discussions about animal related/vegan issues.
Our biggest, most looming campaign is to promote awareness and ultimately liberation for the 50,000 animals kept in labs at NYU, most of which are held in the main building on University Place and Waverly Place.
NYU, GO VEGAN!!
