Jayson's Mom

About Me

There is not much to say about me except that I have two children and have been together with my husband for over 25 years. I am new to myspace. I didn't know that it existed until my son was killed in an automobile accident by a drunk driver on October 22, 2005. I had to make my own profile to be able to get onto my son's profile. I still write to my son on his profile. My daughter and I use myspace to keep in touch with my son. Someone may think that a little crazy, but I consider it our therapy. I, never in my worst nightmares, thought that I would be going through the loss of one of my children. It isn't supposed to be like this. I am supposed to grow old, see my children get married and have children of their own, not plan for the funeral of my only son. This is a learning experience, something that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. My son is gone. He wasn't sick. Had he been sick, it might have been easier. I would be able to believe that he isn't in pain any longer, but that isn't the issue here. He was alive and well on October 21, 2005, when I spoke with him at 8:30 a.m. My last words to my son were: "I love you", and his last words to me were: "I love you too, mom" I will never hear those words again. I will only see his smiling face in my dreams.I am a strong advocate against drinking and driving. I always have been.
