About Me

Let me start off by saying, I'm not a singer. I just write the words. None of the songs on this page are sang by me. I was born, raised, and still live in southeast Georgia. I have been married for 15 yrs. Me and my wife, Carol ( Coonie to her family and friends ), have 4 beautiful children. We have 15 yr old twin daughters, a 6 yr old daughter, and a 3 yr old son. My life revolves around my kids. I am fairly new to the songwriting business. I have been writing for years, but just recently decided to finally take a chance at making something of it. I only write lyrics, but thanks to some great co-writers my songs are being completed and are turning out great. I write gospel and country lyrics mostly, but some of them could be considered bluegrass, southern rock, or soft rock. I'm always looking for more co-writers who can do the music. If you are interested, just let me know. I'm looking for recording artists, publishers, or anyone in the music industry who can get my songs out there. I edited my profile at Free Christian MySpace Layouts , check out these Christian Myspace Layouts!

My Interests

Band Members: I only write lyrics, so without my co-writers, all I would have is words. My thanks goes out to my co-writers. Not only for putting music with my lyrics, but also for making the demos and singing the songs. I'd like to thank Matt and Connie Meek. Matt co-wrote "The Offer Still Stands", as well as recorded the demo. Matt and Connie also recorded the demo for "I'm Just Heading Home". I'd like to thank Eva Wilson for co-writing "I'm Just Heading Home". She came up with the beautiful melody. I'd like to thank James Singletary for allowing me to co-write the lyrics for "One Of These Days". That is Robert McMillan, of Robert and James, singing lead vocals on that one. Many thanks to Gary Gibson for co-writing and doing the demo for "He Lifted Me Up". What an awesome voice. I'd also like to thank my other co-writers, who are still working on other projects. There is more to come, so keep checking.
Influences: My influences go back to my childhood. I grew up listening to southern gospel music. My favorites growing up were The Dixie Echoes, Jerry and The Goffs, Johnny Cook, Mike Adkins, and The Happy Goodmans. I still love southern gospel music. I love to hear a southern gospel quartet just letting in go. I am also becoming a huge fan of christian country music. If you haven't heard Robert and James, you've got to check them out. There are alot of great christian country artist out there.
Sounds Like: A little bit of ol' time foot stomping gospel and a little bit of soul searching, bring a tear to your eye, inner revival gospel.
