"CUTTING EDGE TECHNO BAND SEEKS BITCHIN’ DUDE FOR FRONTMAN"
That was how the ad in Bay Area Music magazine read in 1991.
18 year old Jonathan Araujo responded to the ad, met keyboardist Steve Boler and the two instantly found great musical chemistry together.
Two years later they disbanded for personal reasons and completely lost touch, but as individuals they matured musically.
Nearly 3 years ago Steve tried to get into contact with Jonathan using every conceivable method to find him, but to no avail.
After a fruitless week of searching, karmic synchronicity played its hand when Jonathan (who had ironically been searching for Steve at the same time) called him out of the blue and said "We need to start making music again!"
They got back together and in their first session regained their original chemistry, and then some! Now their musical creativity flows effortlessly.
Whether you call them Electronica, Alternativedance, Electroclash, or just plain SynthPop, what you get is electronic music with powerful vocals, poetic lyrics, a strong melodic sensibility, and infectious hooks.
One of Sonic Alliance's strongest suits is their ability to remain prolific while maintaining their unique style and high standard of quality.
Jonathan is a great frontman and Steve is an innovative synthesist.
While Sonic Alliance are sending out demos to record labels, they are also getting ready to independently release a 12" single to clubs and begin a series of local gigs.
With the self produced "Temptation" (rated 1 on Overplay.com) and the upcoming compilation release of "The Sky Is Falling," Sonic Alliance are confident they will be well received in clubs and beyond.
