About Me
A fourteen-year resident of downtown NYC, Arana is founder and resident
DJ of the Wobble parties (Guest House, Sullivan Room, Le Souk, B.E.D.), as
well as a music producer, promoter and corporate/ entertainment lawyer.
Completing over 500 DJ-friendly dancetrack re-edits and remixes as well
as amassing and organizing a library of over 10,000 tracks across every
genre of music -- including all forms of dance/electronic music, soul, funk,
hiphop, reggae, rock, 80's, jazz, classical, Latin/Brazilian, Arabic, world,
drum & bass, breaks and beyond -- Arana instinctively understands the
languages of rhythm, harmony and melody which make music magic.
Commanding an extensive knowledge of musical genres, production/mixing
techniques and industry trends, Arana approaches each musical project with
meticulous detail and care, including music for fashion shows, corporate &
special events, preparing/editing soundtracks for dance, theater and
multimedia productions, producing specialized compilations for venues,
playing lounges, weddings and, of course, crushing the dance floors of clubs
large and small (Pacha, Crobar, Guest House, B.E.D., Sullivan Room, Le Souk,
The Plumm, Frederick's). He also practices corporate law in a New York City law firm.
