HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF COCKTAIL OLIVES...R.I.P. PAUL V. WE LOVE YOU, JUNGLE BOY!!!I'm completely devastated by this awful news. Everyone who loved Paulie and whose lives he touched...and there are a hell of a lot of us...will never be the same again.Although I haven't talked to Paul for a few years, time and distance are no match for a true human bond to transcend. Once we bond with someone and love them truly...then time and space have no bearing on the way we feel about them.I, like many other people, have zillions of memories of Paul. Not just seeing him onstage, but true moments of friendship. Long talks, long walks, and a lot of laughter (and a LOT of hangovers). Everyone knew him as a wildly talented performer, but only a handful knew him as a gentle soul and good friend.His family, his bandmates (who were his brothers), and the women he loved all know what a truly kind and loving sprit he had. I knew him as a true rebel---a rabblerouser and troublemaker, and one of the most unique people I ever knew. He could make you laugh so easily, without even trying. He could cheer you up if you were feeling blue, and make you so mad you wanted to strangle him ...and hug him one minute later. That stupid grin would come over his face and all I could do was laugh…no matter how mad I was.To see him on stage was quite a sight to behold...but to see him sitting quietly, staring out a window, or playing with his dog...that's the Paul I knew. I could tell a million stories about Paul...most funny and some NOT very funny...but he touched so many people that everyone has their own stories about him.I'll miss him for the rest of my life.Where ever you are, Jungle Boy...know that we love you very much.Love, Gina Ortiz
