My hands held on, my mind let go. And back to you my heart went skipping

About Me

Some things I like: fun socks - especially when wearing dress pants, pajama pants as soon as I get home from work, hanging out with good friends over good conversation or a good movie (or sometimes some trashy TV), pizza, candy, advocacy, humor, "the simple things," and the really nice, warm blanket on my couch. Yep. I do not like: bills that I have to pay, selfish leadership (politically, professionally, in relationships...), married men that hit on me, jeans (unless they fit well, which is rare), cold toes, being frustrated, and beans (ewww).

My Interests

napping, periodic acts of ambition, interesting conversation and spirited debate with folks, general messing with people...
You Are Big Bird
Talented, smart, and friendly... you're also one of the sanest people around.

You are usually feeling: Happy. From riding a unicycle to writing poetry, you have plenty of hobbies to keep you busy.

You are famous for: Being a friend to everyone. Even the grumpiest person gets along with you.

How you live your life: Joyfully. "Super. Duper. Flooper." The Sesame Street Personality Quiz

I'd like to meet:

Folks with a witty sense of humor, and a flair for great discussions. Situational creativity and an appreciation for sarcasm are good qualities. And people who will still color in a coloring book or play on a playground occasionally.

Music:

whatever sparks my interest at the time. Counting Crows for many occasions. something upbeat if i need to get stuff done.

Movies:

I do enjoy them... at the theater with popcorn and candy, or at home in good company. Yay movies!

Television:

The Daily Show; Grey's Anatomy; Desperate Housewives; Simpson's; That 70's Show; and so on and so forth.

Books:

Alice Hoffman, Barbara Kingsolver, books that enlighten or entertain (sometimes both)... hopefully someday, all the interesting things on my shelf that I haven't gotten to yet.

Heroes:

my parents. my friends. really great educators. those who give of themselves, but not for themselves. the inventor of NesQuick...chocolate milk is some tasty tasty stuff.
