OBZ was born out of the 1960's garage band experience. Started in the mid 80's, the group formed a sound that brought back an era to the Los Angeles music scene. The "Paisley Underground" flourished with bands perfoming music styles of psychedelic genre and OBZ contributed their own with a high energy performance. Sharing the stage with many alike, the band electrified their audiences with shows through out the L.A. area, showcasing 60's classics and original songs. The group received radio airplay and soon began a fan base. A special thanks to the late Greg Shaw for booking shows and showing interest in OBZ for the Bomp record label.
