Burly Custom Guitars are built from kiln dried northern hardwoods. We use select Birdseye and Curly Maple, Black Walnut and Burled cherry.
LP style (Les Paul) can be ordered in solid or hollow body. S-style (Stratocaster) bodies are solid or semi-hollow. The hollow, and semi-hollow bodies are greatly reduced in weight, and greatly increased in tonal sustain.
To truly set our guitars apart, we offer hand-carved designs on any of our models. Choose one of our designs, or come up with your own ideas. We can design and carve any theme you want.
If you are a hobbyist, choose one of our hand made bodies and complete the project yourself. Burly bodies can be ordered with any pick-up or neck routing imaginable. Or choose a finished guitar. We’ll built it to your specs and personalize it any way you like. For around $2000 we can build you a custom guitar with the finest components available, complete with hand carved designs that will set you guitar apart from the rest of the crowd. We build our guitars with the same precision we put into our pool tables and carved doors.
