Bankrupt Records is an independent record label founded in 2005 by James G. The label consists of the group “DUO†composed of James G and his brother JG and Big C. These acts stray away from the mainstream vision of rap and use their individual talents to create works of art in lyrical form. Bankrupt is a lifestyle characterized by saying fuck authority and live life your own way. The music is a mixture of real life emotion, cheap thrills, good times, and dark imagery. Bankrupt Records released its first professional release "Underground Mythology" on September 4th and has since flooded the underground market with a sound thats unique and provocative. This compilation served as the start of a new kind of underground label that prided itself by being different. In 2008, the DUO release their highly anticipated cd "Night Vision" which will begin a trilogy of albums known as the "Vision" series. The label is also set to release "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", an underground supergroup composed of Bankrupt Records, Southern Hustlaz Inc, and Sico. (DUOz) The DUO is composed of two brothers, James G and JG, who merge to create a rap sound completely original. Having been moved around their entire life (New Jersey, New York, California, Georgia), the brothers have developed a speech completely unique and rap style that has been praised by rap fanatics world wide. Complex as well as stylish, the DUO plan on releasing their first full length album "Night Vision in mid 2008.
(BIG C): Big C aka Cenile uses his smooth voice and underdog personality to paint a portait of a man struggling to stay afloat in today's difficult world. A true product of an unsavory lifestyle, Big C is out to make his mark and is prepared to do whatever it takes. His debut ep "Start the show" is scheduled to drop in mid 2008.
