At an early age Michelle was exposed to a variety of cultures and musical influences. Michelle was raised on a farm in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania where she attended The Garnet Valley School District and became an avid member of both the school and the church choir.In July, 1983 her musical influences took on a Southern flair when she moved to Gonzales, Louisiana. By 1985, at fourteen, Michelle was back in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania. While attending Garnet Valley High School, Michelle was selected as a soloist in the Choir, performing in the local malls and in Nursing Homes during the Christmas Season to spread a little holiday cheer. She also worked with physically challenged children and learned sign language so she could work with hearing impaired children. During her high school years Michelle excelled not only in Music, but Art as well. Many of her art projects are still, to this day, displayed in various cases throughout the school. It was her performance in June 1990, at the Senior Variety Show and the crowd’s appreciation of Michelle’s voice, that awarded her the John Montella Music Award.In May 1988, at the age of seventeen, Michelle began working for Acme Markets (a major food retailer), where she would remain employed for the next nine years. After graduating high school in 1990, she moved out on her own to Claymont, Delaware. In January 1993, Michelle parlayed her singing talents into a lead vocalist position with a popular local band “The Joe Staffieri Bandâ€, where she entertained crowds at local nightclubs throughout the Delaware Valley area. The year 1993 proved to be an exciting time for Michelle as she was invited to record in Las Vegas with Tommy DeVito (Formally of the Four Seasons), it was her first introduction to the professional recording studio. In June 1995, Michelle recorded again in Nashville, Tennessee.While still performing five to six nights a week, Michelle resigned from Acme Markets in 1997 and began working for Andrews Publications (a Legal Publishing Company) in the Circulation Department until May 1998, when she was promoted to Circulation Manager. Michelle resigned from the company in August 1999 and decided to dedicate all her time to her singing career.Michelle performed as lead vocalist with The Joe Staffieri Band from 1994 - current. While performing with the “Joe Staffieri Band†Michelle began performing as lead vocalist with a band called “RCM†in Atlantic City at several casinos from 2001 – 2004. Michelle performed as the lead female vocalist with Tom Pizzi and the Courtjesters in 2008. Michelle is currently working on a debut album, writing original material. In December 2008, Michelle was hired in an 11 piece wedding band called “Bandstandâ€.
