Convictos is a band formed primarily from different musicians that emerge from different local groups throughout NYC, Chris Silva(lead Singer) and Jon p(Drums) created an idea of hard and progressive rock but yet still have a melodic sound to it. Now together with Vic(lead Guitar), and Rob(Bass) we create a unique sound and vibe to that extreme pleasure of playing what you enjoy.
Convictos has been working hard to bring some heavy rock and melodic tunes, Since the idea was first born, we’ve been working together, sharing ideas and putting them together to form the songs we have now. So far its been a spectacular and amazing ride, of course with bumps and obstacles and as a band we try to overcome these issues. The passion and eagerest to create music overcomes all as we work together the creativity is overwhelming and surpasses any issues(well most of the time). Our influences vary from bands like Korn, Metallica, Stone Temple Pilots, Heroes de Silencio, Pink Floyd, Etc. The list can go on and on…..
Right now we’re finishing up or first Album, we’ll be posting some demo songs pretty soon so you can enjoy and have a sneak preview of what to expect in our coming album. We have met and made some awesome friends playing along with other local bands, bands like 3Enigma and Modelo-21, enjoying the local scene and playing in local competitions. In all it has and still a ladder to climb, but as we do climb it we kick some serious ass!!
