Young Skill Interview with Black Hand Digital
Whats Good, Its Ya Boy Sneakyness AKA Lyrical Assasin, Here With A Very Unique Young Artist From The South And A Close Friend By The Name Of Young Skill, Hows It Going Fam?
Young Skill: Man I'm chillin, blessed glad to be here. Stayin on the grind.
Sneakyness: Nice Nice, So Why Dont U Tell Us A Little Bit About Your Self...
Young Skill: It's ya boy Young Skill half of that Royalty Clique. When it comes to the bangas Im the hottest artist thats my age around my town. Bess believe it I respect those otha young cats but they aint gettin it like me.
Sneakyness: Tell Us What Kind Of Style Your Music Is? And What Your Trying To Tell The Listeners?
Young Skill: Man I'm diverse I can spit some real shit cause I've been through hardtimes and seen some things or I can make the club bounce. Im one of a kind. I don't just wanna be another artist, I wanna be a Tupac type and speak to the people. Not just black people but to everyone. I wanna be the spokesman for my people on welfare and the homeless in the street. And eventually make a change.
Sneakyness: When Did You Start Rapping? And How Old Were You?
Young Skill: Me and my boy Andre started like in 4th grade. We was rappin at the lunch table and kickin some wack flows. haha but then he moved away and I started back up freshman year and im still killin it. I was like 10 maybe when I wrote my first rhyme and I still have it to this day.
Sneakyness: Who Are Some Rappers That Inspired You To Rap?
Young Skill: Tupac number 1 there will never be another better. Bone Thugs, Nas, Ludacris, Kanye West, J Riz and people like Bow wow and Jibbs because I seen them and I thought ok well I can do it too.
Sneakyness: Are We Expecting Any Mixtapes? Or Even An Album From You?
Young Skill: Man I'm workin hard right now on an untiltled mixtape it'll be droppin soon. But right now im makin moves with labels and trying to get exposer so I'm not completly focused on a mixtape.
Sneakyness: Who Are Some Artists That You Want To Work With In The Future?
Young Skill: Kanye West, JoJo, Game, Ludacris, Bone Thugs, Nappy Roots, Jibbs and basically anybody whos influenced me.
Sneakyness: From What We Hear So Far, We Know You Loved Rap Always, But When Did You Want To Take It To The Next Level?
Young Skill: Ummm.... Freshman year, when I started recordin and I met J Riz he was the first one who believed in me. So he really got in my head and said, "you can do this."
Sneakyness: Do You Really Think You Are The "Best" Around Your Way?
Young Skill: As far as my age goes yes I am. I respect all the otha young cats but they aint got the heart that I do. I can switch it up and these otha dudes can only make club music. I spit real shit and these dudes talkin bout Bathin Apes and Cars and shit. I switch it up and rap about my life and my struggle and they can't touch that.
Sneakyness: Are You Confident With The Music You're Making Now? Or Is There Room For Improvement?
Young Skill: No matter what there's always room for improvement.
Sneakyness: Definetly Man, From It Sounds Like You Take This Rap Stuff Very Serious...
Young Skill: Very serious man. Im so focused.
Sneakyness: Ok Ok, We Wish You The Best Of Luck, Is There Anything Else Ude Like To Say? Or Anybody U Want To Shout Out?
Young Skill: Shoutout to my homies Scales and Big V from Nappy Roots thanks for believin, J Riz, Black Hand, Ice, Kellz, Josh B., Nonny WE RUN THE BREEZE!
