Demodoctors are a Birmingham based, mobile digital recording service, giving bands a cheap alternative to recording studios.
Our aim is to provide your band with a good quality digital representation of your music, whatever the genre.
All you have to do is supply the venue, (normally your rehearsal studio), but could also be your local church hall, garage or kitchen.... you choose!
As we are aiming at bands on a budget, we can offer advice on how to record your demo in the shortest time possible, thus keeping your costs down.
Our equipment includes:
Yamaha AW16G (16 track) professional audio workstation
Alesis M1 active 620 powered studio monitors
Audio-technica AT4033A condenser microphones
sure SM57 instrument microphones
AKG K240 & AKG K271 studio headphones.
We can also provide a range of instruments, (if required) including Yamaha Clavinova CLP 123 digital piano, various guitars, bass, korg XD5 synth, Yamaha DX7 synth, Alesis drum machine and guitar effects.
We do our editing/mixing on on an Apple PowerMac G4 using Cubase editing and mastering software. If you want to give your demo that finishing touch, we can also design & print a cover for your CD, with your bands logo, photo, info. etc. included.
****WE CHARGE £100 PER DAY, BASED ON 8(ISH) HOURS****
Just think, folk artist, Seth Lakeman recorded his first album, (which was later nominated for two separate Radio 2 Folk Awards) in his brothers kitchen at a cost of £300!
