Banishment was born in 1999 as the brainchild of Damian Scott (Impurity, Reviler, ex-Cystic Dystentery, ex-Scab Maggot). What started out as raw guitar and keyboard compositions evolved over the years into a sort of darkwave/classical/film music project.
The intent of these compositions has always been and will always be to capture and convey the majesty in rudimentary human emotion. For now, fear, despair, sorrow and awe are the primary impetuses for the music of Banishment.
All music is composed solely by Damian Scott using virtual instruments (VSTis) in Steinberg's Cubase along with various other mixing and mastering programs.
