Ophelia is fronted by Belleville native Melanie Hilmi who began her music career in Toronto as a solo artist performing acoustic sets at various bars around the city such as Holy Joes & The Free Times Café. Melanie honed her live craft sharing the stage with such talent as Dayna Manning & Damhnait Doyle, establishing Melanie as a solid live performer.In spring of 2005 Melanie formed the band Ophelia and continues to perform her pop rock based original material throughout Toronto and surrounding area. Ophelia is currently working with producer Clifton David on their first Ep to be released in early 2006.
