About Me

I'm just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world. But I don't think I'd take a midnight train goin anywhere. Suddenly becoming an adult hasn't really taken me aback as much as I thought it might. It's probably because I like order and control, so having a very consistent schedule and expectations for life makes me feel very comfortable. On the other hand, it's hard to imagine that I'm going to be working 8-4 for the rest of my life. At least my job is flippin sweet! I design sulfuric acid plants (and eventually ethanol production plants too) for an internationally renowned company. The work is pretty empowering, but the integral part of this job is that after I design the plants, I get to go to whatever country bought it and help start-up. I was just assigned a plant in the freakin Congo! I only 50% actually want to go there... that could be quite an experience though... but living in a fenced in/guarded hut does not sound like the most fun ever. Oh well. At least there will be Brazil (and Illinois... sweeeet) next year. We also have customers everywhere from Kazakhstan to Russia to Morocco to Australia to the US. This makes me a very happy panda. As a revision to this, I would like to say that my personality is currently in a dichotomic battle. Day-Pam wants to be really good at her job, responsible, and mature. Night-Pam just wants to stay up all night and get crazy with her friends. End result: It burns my brain. Word."Punk is the personal expression of uniqueness that comes from the experience of growing up in touch with our human ability to reason and ask questions." - Greg GraffinI wish that was still true.

My Interests

Stuff. Photography. Music, especially of the punk/metal genres. Friends. Social, political, and philosophical discussions. Reading. Colorado. Drinking tea. Playing games. Graduating in May. Engineering... energy/environmental research & development hopefully.

I'd like to meet:

Greg Graffin, Noam Chomsky, Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Ryan Reynolds.Hmm. I guess I never got along as well with girls.

Music:

Top 10? If you want to know more, just ask: Bad Religion, Muse, Thrice, AFI, Avenged Sevenfold, Strung Out, NOFX, Form Follows Failure, Pennywise, Jimi Hendrix

Movies:

I'm just going to do top 10 actors... I will pretty much watch anything they are in: Vince Vaughn, Christopher Guest, Christopher Walken, Will Farrell, Angelina Jolie, Parker Posey, Ryan Reynolds, David Cross, Zach Braff, Vinnie Jones

Television:

Scrubs, Arrested Development, and Family Guy. I enjoy Jon Stewart and South Park very much, but sans cable, I don't see them too often. Most TV is totally worthless.

Books:

Again, favorite authors of whom I would read anything: Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Albert Camus, Samuel Beckett, and Edgar Allen Poe

Heroes:

I try not to idolize people on the whole, but maybe just facets of them. Most of what one might consider to be my "heroes" are my closest friends. I guess I just don't need to be saved.
