Jayjay was born on April 13th in the late 80s and was raised by his influential parents in Jamaica Queens, New York. Fortunately for him, his parents weren't just instilling good morals or educational aspirations. Music played a very important role in their lifestyle, due to the fact that his father was a well experienced DJ. His dad would be become the first source of inspiration for music, as he absorbed every aspect possible from the environment he grew up in. Whether it was writing, rapping or creating beats, JayJay was determined to master them. JayJay moved to Long Island in his early teens. By this time, the fun of music, had turned into love. He was finally able to put all his hard work to the test, as he performed at the high school talent show in front of the whole student body. The crowd went wild! Everyone loved him! He not only stole the show with his performance, but he also hosted the event! Definitely, a confidence booster, if Jayjay ever had any doubts about pursuing music, after that night, he was sure he would become the star he was destined to be. Eager to explore music on a higher level, Jayjay took action and enrolled in the school Boces for 2 years. There he studied engineering & the business of music. He met his fellow classmate Jerell at this time. With both of them having similar dreams, they decided to work together… and “Team Track star” was born. A movement that would take over the world! Jayjay is very easy-going and gets along with everybody. His contagious personality, almost makes it impossible for anyone not like him. So when he found himself jumping from studio to studio, almost effortlessly, it didn’t come as a surprise to anyone. His talent is raw and he’s not difficult to work with. He’s a “hook master” as he often jokes to his close friends. But don’t get twisted, his freestyles is one of his strongest attributes to the create process. An upcoming producer, Fynese, may have seen these qualities in Jay, as they became fast friends and collaborators. Turning out hit after hit after hit… most known for “Bird Call”, which has become a club favorite.
