Cynthia L. Thomas is a native of Houston, Texas. She attended local schools and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She is currently a Family Services Associate with Gulf Coast Community Services Association Head Start Program. Cynthia started singing at the age of 6 and confessed Christ at the age of 14. She has since dedicated her life to being a good steward over her spiritual gifts. Cynthia has been a member of the Windsor Village United Methodist Church for the past 12 years, where she also served as director of the Cherubs and Rejoice Children’s Choirs. While being mentored by Kathy Taylor-Brown, Minister of Music at WVUMC, Cynthia assists with the teaching and directing of the Anointed Women’s Choir and the Celebration Delegation Choir.God has shown favor on Cynthia’s life, and she was blessed to help in the 2007 launch of the New World Church under the South District United Methodist Foundation and the leadership of Pastor Robert Johnson. During this launch she built a music department with a full band and Praise Team. God also used her to write exclusive songs for the “New World Experienceâ€. God has expanded Cynthia’s love for the music ministry, blessing to help recording artist Kathy Taylor in various workshops which lead to her first appearance as guest clinician in a Women’s Workshop with the South Union Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Michael Smith. Cynthia takes the ministry of music seriously and has committed to spreading hope through the gospel. She travels extensively ministering through music with recording artist Kathy Taylor and Favor. Cynthia views motherhood as a gift from God and gladly accepts the task of single parenting. Her goal is to teach her son to be a Godly Child, instill in him the mind of Christ, and raise him to accept and walk in the inheritance received through the blessings of Abraham. ..
