About Me

The two brothers are originally from Argentina, South America and moved to Brixton, South London to pursue their ambition of becoming global house music pioneers. Though they get home sick from time to time, their move to London has definitely been worth it.The funky fraternity had several single releases to date including the highly acclaimed LAMENTO (Essence Records) which managed to prompt positive feedback from the likes of Roger Sanchez, who included it in his personal play list along with very positive comments. Last year saw the release of FIREBIRD on Ben Watt's label BuzzinFly Records.A latin deep house track that has turned into an anthem for summer clubs everywhere with its creeping mood and irresistible guitar licks. The latest release is with the Brixtonian Basement Jaxx. This time, they ask for the assistance of JOSIE BENSON on vocals for the beautiful SUMMERTIME. The track caught the attention of American remixer and producer John Creamer and also BuzzinFly Ben Watt, but it was the Jaxx who grabbed the infectious and evocative SUMMERTIME for their own label. Felix got hold of a copy at the Tsunami Victims Appeal Charity Night at HEAVEN early this year, and was very keen on signing it but after hearing La Nuit Mix they knew they were on to a winner. It has been compared to the best work of Master at Work in soulfulness and pulling power. The original idea for the track comes from French DJ Didier Nahum (aka Liquid sunshine) currently living in Vancouver. The track worked as an instrumental, but it was the amazing voice of Josie Benson which perfectly evoked lazy summer afternoons and warm nights the one that gave it its distinctive sound.Bearing in mind their background and cultural heritage, the brothers also bring with them sounds from Argentina, Uruguay and Afro-Brazil. When asked to describe their music in words this is what they say:Ariel: Tango, Milonga and Candombe are just a few of the styles we want to merge with quality house grooves and 70s raw funk. Taking elements like the percussion, rhythm guitar and bass line we hope to present these traditional forms of popular music in a fresh and exciting way, creating a new breed of dance music that uses Latin elements which in our opinion, have been long overviewed.Damian: Our music is full of excitement and good vibes. It comes across as fresh and soulful with a brilliant groove that makes you want to dance.Ariel&Damian are consistently getting original and truly emotive music out so watch this space and look forward to future releases; they have a few surprises in store.
