It’s been a while since I’ve updated MySpace, so if you’re wondering about me and want to know who I am and where I’m at in life, read on…I think I'm either a rare or a dying breed when it comes to the type of man that I am. When I look at the world and the people that live in it, I'm surprised that we've gotten this far. I am respectful...to my family, my girlfriend, my friends, my co-workers, customers, and to nearly everyone I meet. I treat people the way I want to be treated. I have patience, which seems to be a rare trait these days...everyone wants instant gratification for absolutely everything! I only lose patience on freeway traffic, then I get pissed...but that's a pet peeve I suppose. I guess the other things I really am not fond of are double dipping and globs of toothpaste in the bathroom sink, but that's not important for now. I don't like going into dance clubs (South Beach in Palm Desert for instance), where the tension is so thick, you can cut it with a knife...the air is thick with testosterone, high levels of insecurity, and a hint of desperation...that's why you won't find me in clubs frequently, even though I do like to dance. I like spending my time at easy going, kick back kinds of places, with strong drinks, relaxed atmosphere, and possibly karaoke, where I can show off my Depeche Mode skills. The most recent change in my life is that I’ve had a girlfriend for the past three months, and what a breath of fresh air she is. She’s such an amazing woman, I feel fortunate that we found each other…and a chance meeting at that as she was seeking a room to rent from me. She did not move in if you were wondering. For once, I’m actually enjoying everything about the relationship and I’m taking the time to ‘smell the roses’ so to speak. I think my Achilles heel has been moving too fast in prior relationships, and I’m keeping my emotions and feelings in check this time around. What’s the rush right? If it’s meant to be it will be a marathon, not a race! It’s also nice to be with someone who isn’t so impressed with material things and has a tremendous sense of style without having to advertise brands like so many. She is appreciative of the things I do for her, and she reciprocates by doing incredibly nice things for me. I look forward to continuing to grow with her and see where life takes us.
