Police Petition

The online petitions linked below are what was used to release U2's "Slane Castle" DVD. Please encourage your fellow Police fans to sign BOTH petitions. Universal have advised that they will release at least one of these if 4000 signatures are added, but this needs to happen fast. This gig was definitive in THE Police sound, energy and basically some of the best live versions ever. Clips of this concert are featured on Police Around The World & Urgh! A Music War. Fans, music lovers and the media themselves have constantly asked why these videos, classed as the best Police footage captured on film, have never been released on DVD by Universal/A&M/Interscope/Polydor.

The long deleted video that represents the best live period of the band: the 1980-81 World tour. This is in terms of the Police sound being at it's most evident, with Andy's guitar and Stewarts drumming and echo equipment. Plus of course Sting's voice in terms of quality and his stage performance.

Quite simply the band at their peak, which this entertaining and ground breaking world tour video captured, which saw the band take in countries such as Bombay, Egypt, Greece, Japan, USA to name a few.

As a DVD extra, Police Around The World, should also include the 40 min BBC documentry: Police In The East, which was a documentry of the same tour.
