Hey there everyone. So we finally have a full band going! After months of hard work we have finally found the right group of guys. Behind every band there is a story, so let me share our story with you all.
I all started in fall of 2005 when 16 year old Ben Wilson and a close friend came up with the idea of starting a band, Ben plays guitar, and his friend would play bass, there was one problem, neither of them played their insterments very well. So together they taught themselves how to play. Ben spent hours upon hours writing songs and progressing as a musician, and his friend would write bass to the songs.
In their excitement, they decided it was time to find other members to complete their band. That’s where Tyler (Blamy) comes into the picture. Ben and Tyler shared a music class together. One day, Ben overheard Tyler mentioning that he plays drums, and they started talking. He said he was very interested in playing for the band, and sure enough he was just what they were looking for. For the next few months they practiced regularly, and progressed as both musicians and as friends.
Sadly their bassist at that time became involved with another band, and his dedication to that band soon became a major inconvenience for everyone, so they all decided that it would be best for him to go with the other band. So Ben and Tyler kept working on new material and trying out new members... it took a while but in July of 2006, they found a new bassist, his name was Josh, an 18 year old STUD haha... long story short, Josh soon became an official member.
After a summer of practicing and searching, they still had no singer to speak of. So after a while, Ben decided to contact Kyle the singer of Hazel and Vine about finding a singer. Kyle said he could help us out. He helped us get together with whom they record with ( Joshua Tree Studios ). There they would record a demo with just the bass, guitar, and drum tracks. They made copies of the demo and handed them out to friends and people interested in singing. A few people tried out, but were not what they were looking for in a singer.
About a month or so after they recorded, they met a kool kat by the name of Paul
at a show at the boardwalk and found out the he sang, so they asked him to write lyrics to the recordings and then try out. When he came and tried out, they were blown away and excited to have found a singer that accented their sound so perfectly.
Then in January 2007 josh sadly had to leave the band because he was going to Hawaii for collage. So they were in need of a bassist. So they asked around and after about a month and a half they had found a few people that were interested. When a kid named Cade (caderade) came to try out, he clicked with the rest of the band and they knew right away that he was the man for the job.
Now Sterling has recordings and is enjoying the planning and scheduling some of their first shows.
