Galloway Jazz

Matt Galloway is a young jazz guitarist currently pursuing a Jazz Studies undergraduate degree at the MTSU School of Music. At MTSU, he is priveleged to study with a world renowned faculty including: Paul Abrams, Don Aliquo, Pat Coil, Jamey Simmons, Tommy Giampietro, Cedric Dent and Jim Ferguson. Matt has also studied privately with Shawn Purcell, from the Airmen of Note. During Matt’s Junior year he was inducted into the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society. He is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, as well as the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society; the nation’s oldest, largest, and most selective all-discipline honor society including members Jimmy Carter, the 39th president, and Ellis Marsalis, the famous jazz vocalist. Currently, Matt plays with the MTSU Jazz Big Band I, the Fourth Line Sextet directed by Jamey Simmons, with Guitarist/Composer Matt Lund, and with the Josh Dunlap quintet.
