Hey, I'm Hap

About Me

Well, let's start with the name, in case you're wondering, I was a HAPpy baby. No joke, and no my parents weren't hippies. I've lived in Georgia all of my life, even though I've done a decent amount of traveling across the country. I have a young son, his name is Gavin, and I love him with all my heart. I'm working on being able to see him more often than I do right now; hopefully I'll be able to VERY SOON.

My Interests

cooking, photography, Guiness, Vodka, nature, history, eBay! (it's like finding cool stuff at a thrift store), college football, snowboarding, wrestling (not the body builder soap opera crap on TV...that's wrasslin'), watching movies, listening to music, I used to drive a good bit, but with gas prices what they are now that's not going to be happening very often, disc golf, my friends and family

I'd like to meet:

Butch Walker, Ansel Adams, Quentin Tarantino, Ian McKellan, Anthony Hopkins, Dan Gable, Charlize Theron, Chuck PalahniukView All Friends | View Blog | View Pics | Add Comment

Music:

AFI, American Hi Fi, New Found Glory, Bad Religion, Something Corporate, The Ataris, Cartel, Yellowcard, AC/DC, Box Car Racer, Blink 182, Three Doors Down, The Starting Line, The Killers, Jimmy Eat World, Offspring, Dashboard Confessionals, All American Rejects, Taking Back Sunday, Stroke 9, Marvelous Three/Butch Walker, No Motiv, Rufio, Greenday, Bowling for Soup, Brand New, Incubus, Godsmack, NIN, Alkaline Trio, My Chemical Romance, Amy Winehouse, Norah Jones, Foo Fighters, SUBLIME, Old Crow Medicine Show, Sum 41, Wolfmother, Tool

Movies:

In no particular order: A River Runs Through It, Gladiator, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Fight Club, The Lord of the Rings Movies, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, Half Baked, Super Troopers, Office Space, Pirates of the Caribbean, Blow, Finding Nemo, Ice Age, Shrek, Matchstick Men, Top Gun, Along Came Polly, The Royal Tenenbaums, Bruce Almighty, Troy, Saving Private Ryan, Braveheart, Big Daddy, Me Myself and Irene, 40 Days 40 Nights, Dawn of the Dead, Scarface, Edward Scissorhands, Homegrown, Haggard, Frailty, Kingdom of Heaven, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(it's the epitomy of cultural ideals from the late 80's and EARLY 90's), Napoleon Dynamite, Zoolander, Sin City

Books:

Sadly, I don't read as much as I should, although I've already broken that streak this year. Chuck Palaniuk is my new favorite author; I have to say, he writes incredibly bizarre and enthralling novels. Choke and Invisible Monsters are some of the best books I have read in quite some time. Another one of my all time favorite books is Brave New World. The statements that it makes about conformity and the government's role in society are right on the money.

Heroes:

Butch Walker...I mean the guy's a rock star and yet after his shows he takes the time to meet each and every one of his fans who sticks around. These days it seems as though musicians are looking to make money, not change the way the world is. In the true spirit of Rock & Roll, I think Butch Walker is a king!

My Son

For those of you who have never gone through the experience of childbirth, let me tell you how unwordly it is to be present when a new life enters our world. All of the pain (not mine, hers)...
