Code 30 is a hardcore punk band hailing from Central Illinois. The band was formed in late 2007 when 4 friends decided they were sick of the current state of Hardcore music. Tired of bands playing 10 minute long breakdowns and taking 4 hours to style their hair, Code 30 is trying to bring back some of the punk ethic to a scene that is being overtaken by flashy egomaniacs that have forgotten the message of the music. These guys talk about unity, war, strife, and friendship. The band is known for making the crowd part of their live show. No matter who you are, if you are in Code 30's audience, you will have a good time. Musically, the band sounds like a powerful steam engine running at full speed. Heavy and fast. They do not follow any rules when it comes to making music. Code 30 is influenced by all styles of music and has been compared to bands like Sick Of It All, Cro Mags, and The Misfits. The band is made up of current and former members of Pound For Pound, Kick To Tha Head, xSolemn Vowx, and Novate.Code 30 released a cd on The Path Less Traveled Records in 2009. The band is no longer playing but we are all still friends and wanted to keep this myspace up for the fun memories we had. Enjoy.
