hey ya'll my name is Anthony brown,originaly from newark(brick city) i grew up in a musically inclined family. my mom sang solo soprano for the masterwork chorus after attending the juliard conservatory of music. so at an early age i was exposed to all types of music at the age of 8, i picked up the trumpet in which i played for 6years and at the age of15, i picked up the bass gituar. and aFTER SITTING AT THE FAMILY RECORD PLAYER AND TRYING TO LEARN ALL THE LATEST TUNES BY STANLEY,JACO,LOUIS,MARCUS AND ANYTHING THAT SOUNDED GOOD i finaly got the hang of it. but thetwo most influential was my mom, and my friend jerrome simmons who is an extraordinary bassist,and who keeps me well informed on whats up. during my career as a bassist, i'v been blessed to have played with some of the east coats;s finest musicians such as gituarist tony jenkins, key boardist t-bone,singer/songstress teau. lancewebb, big john patton, louise murray,saxophoneist andre ward, down time,and the list goes on. i would like to thank jimmy ponder sonny rollihs dr arron bell, and patricpffifer(bass gituar for dummies) for each showing me what jazz realy is. to every one who takes thetimeto listen to my music,thank you, and feel free to hit me up to chat i'd love to hear from you. sincerley anthony brownNEW MYSPACE LAYOUTS!
