I saved Latin... what did you ever do?

About Me

I think I'll try to save the world one day...Or maybe not... depending on how I feel that day. I like people who don't put a negative spin on EVERYTHING they come across, although I think I'm guilty of being pretty skeptical/critical. 80's cartoons are ridiculously better than any crap cartoon show out there today, I don't care how aqua-y/teen-y/hungerforce-y it is. I have dreams of grandeur, just not.... "grand motivation," so that puts a damper on things sometimes. Liars are a downer. So is the idea of "Freedom fries." I enjoy solitude sometimes, but good friends are a Godsend.

My Interests

My main interests are pretty generic. I like executing coup d'etats against fascist European dictators, saving old ladies from thugs who can't do long division, creating weekly manifestoes on how the philosophical Idea of "The Good" will be implemented into our national laws, saving Earth from the buggers, and creating secret societies that you can't know about because... well, they're secret. You know, the usual.

I'd like to meet:

Hmmm, meeting anyone is a good thing. However, there are a few people that I would thoroughly enjoy meeting. Albert Einstein, John Keats, Dave Matthews, John Lennon, Vince Vaughn, and probably many, many more.

Music:

Dave Matthews Band, The Shins, The Decemberists, Deathcab for Cutie, John Lennon- these are my top 5... these are the guys that blow me away.I also find the following to be quite amazing: Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Jimmy Eat World, Rooney, Saosin, Muse, Unwritten Law, The Postal Service, Further Seems Forever, Coldplay, Ben Folds Five, Weezer, and many many more... Very enjoyable listening.

Movies:

Rushmore, Shaun of the Dead, The Bourne collection, About a Boy, Love Actually, Good Will Hunting, Goonies, Pulp Fiction, Romeo and Juliet, Dusk 'til Dawn, Van Wilder, High Fidelity, Grosse Pointe Blank, Chasing Amy, The Sandlot, Boiler Room, Desperado, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Constantine, and admittedly the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter collections... Lots more.

Television:

Heroes, Conan O'Brien, That 70's Show (sans the last season), The Office, Scrubs, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, etc.

Books:

The Ender Chronicles, The Princess Bride, High Fidelity, Neverwhere, American Gods, the first half of Confederacy of Dunces (joke), Shakespeare (does that count as "a book?").

Heroes:

My wife, My friends and fam, Einstein, John Lennon, Stan Lee, Tony Blair, Hippocrates, and Grumpy Bear (you know... the care-bear).

Ever been in love?

If you've never practiced your alibi in front of a mirror, you've never been in love.
