One can only say so much about themself on a website. Here are a few basics:
I maintain several websites including:
-
www.iww.org
www.alcatrazunion.com www.bluediamondunion.org www.grassrootshouse.org www.syndicalist.org www.transportworlers.org
(Myspace seems to be rather persnickety about links from their pages, so you will need to cut and paste these links to your browser to make them work.)
I also recommend several websites, including especially the following:
-
www.athleticsnation.com
www.brandworkers.org
www.indybay.org
www.labornotes.org
www.labourstart.org
www.renewableenergyworld.com
www.starbucksunion.org
www.uniondemocracy.org
As you have probably guessed (if you didn't know already), that I consider myself a radical. I believe that I am the good sort of radical, meaning that I am not satisfied with quick fixes to deep structural problems. I believe that idealism and dreaming are not bad things necessarily.
I like to think I express my radicalism thoughtfully and nonviolently, but nevertheless militantly. I have focused my energy primarily on the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) of which I have been a proud, dues-paying member since 1995.
I believe the ideal society is one based on anarchism, and no, anarchy is not chaos nor is it "everyone for themselves".
What is anarchy?
"(it is) a philosophy of resistance to, and the creation of, all statist laws and authoritarianism; the theory that all forms of government rest on violence, and are therefore wrong and harmful, as well as unnecessary."
"anarchy is best described as libertarian individualism combined with socialist responsibility, freedom combined with workers' solidarity."
"(it is) sensibility, armed with sense and liberty, with the heart and mind united in a single, perfect, sphere."
