On this page, you will hear the instrumentals for "The Analog Album"... a project that I am currently working on , I decided to go with more loop-driven tracks like back in the "analog" days..but Im also looking for vocals that hark back to the "Analog" days..meaning words that Inspire, Uplift... when we actually learned shit when we heard them songs and not how to flip coke or kill that nukka for the 100th time..
Let me tell u a quick story...We was at a record label and talking to the owner..not and A&R or anything like that but the OWNER..I wont say the name of the company because I might have to pimp them later...well they told us they loved our sound but it was too "SMART"...so I asked..do u want the listeners to be "STUPID"?..he said its not that but people wanna dance they dont want feel like they're in school..basically like Lupe Fiasco's song "Dumb It Down".
I find it hard to believe that everyone wants to hear about murder, drugs and the degredation of women all the time and after that conversation, I kind of think that the powers that be wants our culture to stay focused on that to keep us down..its no coincidence that after the P.E. and Tribe and that era fell off it was replace by Gangsta Rap ..like someone said "Oh shit, they're gathering knowledge and wanting to better themselves..lets sign the drug dealers who want to clean their money and rhyme with 8th grade level english..and make the beats hot, so they'll be too busy dancing and not listening"...
Anywayz, I never went back with the new project and actually stopped with trying to get a deal..got married and kids and do the 9-5 thing...then Kanye and Lupe came out doing the same things we couldn't get heard (if it wasnt for Jay Z power and influence, would Kanye ever been able to come out?)..so we got back together..a little older and a whole lot smarter(nothing wrong with some ass shaking songs) and lets make some songs that make u say Hmmm..." Click, thats your brain working again while the music is playing"....if u made it THIS far, u agree with us or have alot of time on your hands...So if u feeling that..kool hit me up..if not, Thanx for your time and God Bless...
