About Me
If you decide to buy a CD, let me know. I'm curious of who buys them. Thanks!
Bio:
My name is Jeremy Bittle. I am a musician that has been expanding in music styles and levels for quite some time now. I am a junior in high school and plan on doing this for a very long time. I believe that one of the chief reasons why I am where I am now is because I never looked at age as a barrier as most kids do my age, and younger. I got frustrated being in bands in my much younger years because no one had the ambition that I did because I didn't see any reason why we couldn't be good. I took my guitar and became a hermit for a long time; working sparingly with other musicians and concentrating almost completely on the lead guitar. A lead guitarist without a band is fairly useless, so I started playing to backup cds and did so a few times at an open mic in town, and at my talent show twice. Once in eighth grade, and again in ninth grade. In eighth grade, I did a few tricks here and there, the main one being playing behind my head, which is on youtube and one of my myspaces. That year, I played the blues, the next, metal. That year, I did not do any tricks. When I did not receive as much acclaim as the year previous while playing better than the previous, I concluded that people only thought I was good because I could play behind my head, etc. It enraged me that people couldn’t judge based on the music. It’s as if people can’t even listen to music if it doesn’t have words for them to sing along with. I put down the guitar and started teaching myself keyboard and became even more of a hermit. During this time, I began exploring more musical styles and genres through the use of Pandora internet radio. Eventually, I started delving into the seemingly bottomless ocean of electronic music. A genre so widely stereotyped and labeled as “techno†it makes me sick.
As of now, I have released one solo cd, last summer, Darkstar, and a few tracks in compilation with the great drummer, Ben Whitmore. Darkstar began as a dark breaks cd. At least, that is what I intended it to be. Through inspiration of many other sub genres of electronica, I ended up with a cd that almost every song was a different genre. From dark breaks to orchestrated-influenced electronic rock. The problem is, I did not use any kind of sequencer program to make the songs. None of it was quantized and none of it was looped. There are many mistakes throughout that I was too lazy to try and fix. There are also a few songs that I put on the cd that shouldn’t even be there because they... Just aren’t good. I put some of my favorites from the cd here on myspace, and my other favorites can be streamed on ReverbNation. If you want a copy, don’t bother buying it on snocap unless you really want to; I will burn you a copy if you request.
I have invested a lot of money into a brand-new macbook pro, and a professional sequencer program, Logic Studio. I have begun my new cd and I have just released my first song, Albatross. I have also been creating music to be played live with my keyboard. I have been playing at the open mics at Muddy Waters, and look to play elsewhere. Many opportunities have opened up because of this. I take pride in being as versatile as possible. I still play the guitar. And my sets include genres from jazz to downtempo electronica. And that is not including all the songs I have created in the studio.
This is the beginning of my professional career.
