Akia Holt was born, September 15 1988. She was born on the east side of Baltimore Md. In the heart of poverty. Born to kevin Holt( a hard working man who believed in an honest days pay) and Monica Williams( an aspiring actress who gave up her dreams to have Akia). Although never married, they provided a happy home for Akia( born Amber Holt) to succeed in life. After Akia's 12th birthday her parents split up and went their seperate ways. Akia also has 3 brothers of wich one was murdered. with no were to channel her emotions, she turned to the pen and pad to release her feelings. startin' off 1st with poetry and then jumping into the rap game. With help from her dads record collection, she began to appreciate the foundation of hiphop and began to be influenced by some of hiphop's premeire artist such as Rakim, 2 Pac, Biggie and Eminiem. By the time she was 14 she had already Signed to her 1st independent label. Needless to say that did not go well. After years of searching and contemplation of giving rappin' up, she has found a home at II Nyce Entertainment. Home of the super producer Rube Rice.
