My first solo performance was at Burntwood School in 2004, memorial for Mrs Beattie when I was 16 in front of a 1000+ people.I made lots of people cry (i was that terrible) and after that performance I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me. Sang my redeemer lives by Nicole C Mullen.The only reason I agreed to perform was because my best friend was the chior master and she needed a lead vocalist to sing whilst she played the piano.After that I performed with the teenage choir at my church at our Rock Concert for youths.Then I joined the GIFT choir at my university for about 18 months and ministered with them.But I was still too shy to perform in front of people.September 2007, I went to JFactor and heard a performer Chibundu sing "Lord I will wait". That performance changed my life as she was only 16 and was playing the piano and using her talents. In comparison, I have always had the desire to sing but was too shy to do anything about it. Shyness is just deviant, as it stops you from fulfilling your hidden talents because your too shy or scared about what people will think.. ... Now am not burrvered pass me the mike and I will sing...my heart out.....Jan 2008, "The year of locating your hidden treasures and talents" fulfilling your dreams, running with them, finding your passion, taking territory, 2008 my journey of discovery.Decided that I wanted to be a singer/songwriter. Never wrote a song or played an instrument before 2008. But I have always written poetry and I have performed my poems 2ce at Uni, and once at Poesy nite. Bought my guitar off Amazon in Jan, enrolled at Vocaltech and did a 10 week performance course where I learnt about breathing control and holding the mike and singing ... Before that I never knew about singing ..... I just opened my mouth and sang whatever my heart desired.Feb 2008, wrote my first track "beautifulle" a restless night caused me to put pen to paper and that was the outcome. The words just flowed forth from my lips.A week later after 2 guitar lessons with my teacher, I wrote the beat for beautifulle, and 2 days later wrote, the rest of the songs on my myspace. 6th March 08, performed at Poesy nite, where I performed my poem "Void" and sang "star in your eyes" a love song for my future hubby... whoever he is....April 08, I will perform at my grandmas funeral, but I am too scared to write anything as of yet, as I know my tears will melt any paper within reach...I am all about fulfilling my destiny, I don’t plan to go to my grave without achieving my goals... so if there are any likeminded musicians out there... drop a sister a message.A wise man once said "the wealthiest place in the world is the cemetary as people go to their grave without fulfilling their potential" without writing that bestseller, because they thought they had all the time in the world.. well we don’t. So GET OFF your BACKSIDE and locate your hidden treasures, ask GOD to unlock the keys....2009+ my life is still "unwritten" as Natasha Bedingfield declared.. after my business degree... I am going to enrol for a fulltime music diploma at Vocaltech to technify and uncover the rest of my gift....And after that I will give my shot at modeling, dancing.. (contemporary, Jazz urban fusion), theatre, comedy, photography.... I will conquer the entertainment industry... theres more to me than meets the eye.....Subuola is learning that "you cannot give what you dont have".
